The metaphorical sweet tooth is present in many of us, but so too is our desire for chewing, sucking, crunching and delighting in strange and unusual candy confections. Candy makers realize this and strive to provide us with candy that is meant as much to amuse as it is to cure the craving for something sweet. From gummy spider candies to molded cartoon characters, sweet, sour, salty, crunchy and savory candies are becoming more and more shocking to both the eye and the palate.
 
The following are just ten of the most unusual and strange candy confections that can be purchased today, and they run the gamut from just plain weird to downright amusing.

The Harry Potter movie franchise has brought audiences delight and wonder to tantalize multiple senses, including taste. It looks like a real tennis ball, complete with the bright yellow-green florescent color and is even textured like a tennis ball. But one bite of this particular tennis ball reveals not a hollow center but one filled with an oozy center that mixes a punch of flavor with the gum. One of the more unique features of this gum is that it is packaged in an authentic looking tennis ball package!

Yowser!!’s will have you yelling what you eat.  In my opinion, extremely sour candy never gets old or jumps the dreaded shark. One pack comes with six different flavors for your taste buds to do back flips in.
