Professional chefs and avid amateur cooks are alike in that most of them delight in trying out the newest kitchen gadgets. If there is a tool out there to make a kitchen job easier, these cooking fans want to know about it. Today’s newest generation of kitchen appliances cut down on prep time, can make complicated jobs simpler, and help even the most beginner cooks put together a gourmet meal. From blenders to beverage makers, these new appliances are all worth trying out in your kitchen.
Multi-Blade Blender
The new multi-blade blender takes a simple concept, the food blender, and adds a twist. Instead of one blade at the bottom of the blender cup, this appliance puts multiple blades on a spindle in the center of the cup. Old blenders mix and chop food from the bottom up, relying on the spinning action to pull food from the top of the cup toward the blade in the bottom. The new blenders have the ability to deal with all the food in the cup at the same time. This gives the cook the ability to turn ice into snow for frozen drinks, shred meat for sandwiches and casseroles, knead dough like a stand mixer, and make smoothies in seconds.
Soda Machine
If your family drinks soda on a regular basis, a soda machine can save you money and turn your unhealthy beverage into a much healthier drink. These machines add carbonation to any beverage you choose. You can use the pre-made mixes created just for these machines to make your own version of commercial soft drinks, or you can go the healthier route by making fizzy lemonade, orange juice, apple cider or other healthy beverages. Enjoy bubbly drinks for less money per ounce and make your own custom drink flavors at home.
Hot Water Dispenser
Long used in restaurants, a hot water dispenser is an invaluable addition to many kitchens. Rather than heat up water on the stove for tea, instant soup, oatmeal or other foods, you add water to the dispenser, push a button, and the steaming water is ready in a matter of seconds. You’ll save money, conserve energy, and avoid using bulky pans or tea pots just to heat one cup of water. Whether you’re making a cup of cocoa or adding boiling water to a recipe, a hot water dispenser will give you results in a fraction of the time.
Milk Frother
If you’re a fan of expensive coffee drinks from the local chain store, a milk frother can pay for itself in a month or so. The key to elaborate coffee drinks is steamed milk with a thick froth. This appliance creates thick, frothy milk in about 90 seconds, giving you the ability to make your own lattes, mochas, flavored steamers for the children, and other cafe favorites.
Mini Kitchen
For dorm rooms, RVs, writer’s studios or any other small space, a mini kitchen can give you all the cooking space one person might need. This compact appliance combines a drip coffee maker, a toaster oven, and an electric burner all in one small space. If you can fry it, boil it, bake it or make it with hot water, you can cook it in this compact all-in-one appliance.
Indoor Grill
When the snow flies, barbecue cooks in many parts of the country pack away their skills and wait for a thaw. While there are some diehard barbecue chefs who insist in grilling in the middle of a snow storm, most people wait for warmer weather before breaking out the tongs. With an indoor grill, you can grill year-round. This compact table top appliance has a grill surface large enough for a couple of steaks or four burgers and gives your food classic grill marks along with authentic outdoor grill flavor.
Combo Washer and Dryer
For apartment dwellers and senior citizens, the combo washer and dryer may be the ultimate convenience kitchen appliance. These units are about the size of a basic dishwasher and fit in the same type of space. Put your clothing in the drum and the machine will wash and rinse the clothes, then tumble it dry without you having to change machines. While combo washer/dryer machines only do smaller loads, they are efficient and can save money for those who would otherwise have to use a laundromat for their laundry needs.

I had no idea that soda machines did all that! I thought they just made regular soda. I love carbonation, and need to have healthier drinks. Now I’ll have to consider purchasing one! Thanks for the informative article!

The soda machines are awesome. When we have an outdoor movie night we use a soda machine – then have popcorn, peanuts, gummy bears and M&Ms for the guests to make their own eats for the main event. We have a few different kinds of syrup for the machine.

Your list of home appliances was awesome. I think I have about every home appliance known. I started “beefing” up my kitchen when we moved into our new home, but the cabinets are now completely filled. I have stopped buying kitchen appliances. You list made me realize that maybe I should forego some of the appliances I have and replace them with the ones you list that are actually useful. I probably can make a lot of money selling the appliances I never use to the next person who believes that they are must haves. Thanks for cutting back on my appliance needs.
Seven great gadgets that make your life so much easier, I’ve got some of them but the one thing i did have and know miss is the hot water dispenser maybe i should invest in one again
