It tastes good what can I say… There has been a growing debate that junk food or processed food is cheaper. This actually is not true. A family of four could eat chicken, potatoes and salad for cheaper than going to McDonald’s. Healthy eating is a moving target, one that hinges on portion size and nutritional balance. Government policy will not fix the junk food debate or get people to eat more healthy. I believe that education is power and therefore people can make better choices. People don’t understand that you can have the food you want and just by doing a few things different in the cooking and preparation you can make it a lot more healthy and still eat well. I am a firm believer that food is not something you just do to live, but if you take a genuine interest it what you eat and be creative you learn a lot and eat very well.

Well, in México is kinda the same with junk food, but now we have a new great food-service that will love all of us
Thanks for the great article!

Junk food may not be cheaper but it tends to be more convenient, and that’s the problem. Everyone is so “busy” we don’t have time to cook so we turn to the take outs and junk food. They’re going to remain with us for a long time to come I feel, so perhaps we need to develop healthier “junk food” options.
