A lot of diet plans claim to work. Recently I checked out the Nutrisystem plan to see what the details were. One nice thing about the program is that they ship healthy pre-portioned meals to your door, which makes it really easy. The program is also based on the Glycemic index so that you eat more quality carbohydrates. Their meals now contain special “heart-healthy” nutrients such as omega fatty acids and fibers for a healthy digestive track, which is really beneficial.

The Nutrisystem plan has gotten really great reviews and Forbes.com has found the plan to be “Lowest Priced Weight Loss Program”.

The have 3 programs for you depending on your needs.

Nutrisystem Advanced is the “Mother of All Diet Plans”. This program will allows you to get all that crave-busting power you need to tackle your hunger, eat the food you like, feel full, and at the same time lose weight!

The next is the Nutrisystem Select is a new program that features many new menu choices, including some fresh frozen foods from Schwans food delivery service. Signing up for the Nutrisystem Select program will allow you to select 28-35 menu items that you will eat in addition to the regular entrees.

The third plan is the Nutrisystem Flex is the plan for those out there looking to lose weight, eat great, but still having the option to save money and skip the planned meals on the weekend. This plan has been designed to allow you to plan and make your own weekend foods and then diet during the week. This can work well for people that like to have the freedom to dine out too.

This program is much more affordable ($8 dollars a day) and will still allow you to lose weight and feel great!

Right now Nutrisystem is offering 2 weeks of free food plus the Jumpstart Kit if you order now and enroll in the Auto-Delivery service. To get this offer you will have to stay on Nutrisystem for at least 2 different 28-day programs, but you can save around 10%.

I had a friend who used Nutrisystem years ago [about 18 actually]. It helped her gain better control over her portions and she didn’t even eat all of the food allowed. She did lose weight and eventually learned to eat well on her own without the need for all the pre-packaged foods.

Thanks for all of the great information. NutriSystem sounds like a great way to have someone choose your meals for you, that way you can eat the right portions and still recieve your daily nutritional intake. I have been using Nutrisystem but I have also used a site called http://www.FitClick.com. This site offers online calorie counters, food journals and a BMI Calculator. The BMI calculator helps you find out the percent of your body that is fat. Again, thanks for the great post!
