There is much more to Thailand than its golden beaches, friendly people and rich culture. Thailand also has some of the most delicious food found anywhere in the world. Tom Yum Goong is one of Thailand’s most popular dishes. This is a spicy shrimp soup, made with the utmost of care, and people can find it most anywhere in the country. This is a water-based soup, filled with shrimp and an array of spices to satisfy anyone’s cravings. Many restaurants add their own unique twists to the soup, and people can get it made with the spices adjusted to their liking.

Tom Kaa Gai

Tom Kaa Gai is a chicken soup that also contains cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, coconuts and lemon grass. Tom Kaa Gai’s ingredients give the soup a unique taste that people will not find anywhere else in the world. This is another dish that can be found most anywhere in Thailand, and no trip to the country is complete without tasting it.

Pad Thai

Pad Thai is a popular noodle dish in Thailand, and is one of the most widely exported dishes anywhere in the world. This dish is also available most everywhere in Thailand, and it comes in a variety of variations and flavors. Most everyone who cooks Pad Thai has their own unique way of preparing it, but it is delicious all the same. It is a popular street food, and visitors can find it in many food stalls. However, it is also served in various restaurants.

Gaeng Keow Wan Gai

Gaeng Keow Wan Gai, or green curried chicken, is a delicious spicy dish that anyone can eat without worrying about too many spices. The dish can be prepared with fewer or more spices to suit anyone’s tastes. This dish can be found in most Thai restaurants, and it is best when served with such things as rice, noodles and bread.

Som Tam

Som Tam, or spicy green papaya salad, is a perfect appetizer or side dish for most any meal. However, Som Tam is not for people who do not like extremely spicy food, as it is one of Thailand’s spiciest dishes they make. This dish should be eaten only by people who love spicy foods, the spicier, the better.

Delicious Fried Rice

While many Thai dishes are served on their own, many of them are served with fried rice. Original Thai rice has a unique flavor that people will not find anywhere but in Thailand. One of the most popular fried rice dishes is pineapple fried rice, due mainly to its sweet flavor that goes well with a variety of Thai foods. Some people even enjoy eating fried rice on its own for a taste that is simply unbeatable.

Fried Spring Rolls

Fried spring rolls are much like egg rolls with the exception of being smaller, and there is no meat in spring rolls. They are filled with a delicious vegetable mixture, and they are best when dipped in sweet and sour sauce. While many people eat spring rolls as appetizers, they also make terrific snacks between or after meals. These are quite popular in Thailand, and visitors will be able to find them most anywhere.

There are many fantastic Thai dishes that people will want to try while visiting this beautiful country. While many Thai dishes may vary from one restaurant to the next, they all promise to be delicious and satisfying. Most all of the dishes above can be found anywhere in Thailand, and will be a treat that people will want to try again and again.
