Salmon is widely regarded as one of the healthiest fish. It is packed with essential omega-3 fatty acids, proteins, and the much-needed Vitamin D. Being low in saturated fat and calories makes it an easy choice for those who like to keep a tab on what they consume; and unlike most healthy foods, it has a great taste (rejoice weight watchers!). Salmon is a versatile fish that seems to taste good even with some bold flavorings that we’ve tried. So this season, we have decided to bring you three most popular salmon recipes.

Baked Salmon
An excellent recipe for beginners, it has a cooking time of approximately 45 minutes with 15 minutes of prep time. Below you will find the ingredients required to prepare 2 servings.
| Ingredients | Quantity |
| Minced garlic cloves | 2 |
| Light olive oil | 6 Tablespoon |
| Dried basil | 1 Teaspoon |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon |
| Ground black pepper | 1 Teaspoon |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon |
| Chopped fresh parsley | 1 Tablespoon |
| Salmon fillets | 2 x 6 ounce |
Mix parsley, lemon juice, pepper, salt, basil, light olive oil and garlic to prepare marinade in a glass bowl. After covering salmon fillets in the marinade, put them in a glass baking dish. Allow marinating in refrigerator for approximately an hour while turning the fillet occasionally. Preheat the oven to 190 degrees centigrade. Seal the fillets in aluminum foil after covering them with marinade. Put the sealed salmon in a glass dish and let it bake for 45 minutes. Your baked salmon should now be ready for serving!
Salmon Teriyaki
A rather famous recipe which is fast and easy to cook, salmon teriyaki is one of our absolute favorites. The ingredients below will prepare a serving for 4.
| Ingredients | Quantity |
| White wine | ½ Cup |
| Soy sauce | ¼ Cup |
| Mirin | ¼ Cup |
| Rice wine vinegar | ¼ Cup |
| Brown sugar | 3 Tablespoons |
| Garlic (finely chopped) | 1 Clove |
| Ginger (finely chopped) | 1 Tablespoon |
| Skinless salmon fillet (cut into 4 pcs.) | 1 ½ pounds |
| Olive oil | 2 Tablespoons |
| Green onions (Chopped) | 2 |
| Salt & Pepper | 1 Pinch each |
Place white wine, soy sauce, mirin, rice wine vinegar, brown sugar, garlic and ginger in a sauce pain and heat until only ½ cup of the ingredients remain. Lace the salmon with the ingredients on both sides and continue cooking after adding sauce. Spoon the sauce over the fish until cooked to your liking. Poke with a knife or fork to see how much it is done. Garnish with chopped green onions. Your Salmon Teriyaki is now ready to be served!
Honey Ginger Grilled Salmon
We can totally understand if your taste buds have started to revolt in anticipation. This recipe is, as someone commented, “Spicy, sweet and super easy!” See the ingredients and cooking directions below:
| Ingredients | Quantity |
| Ground ginger | 1 Teaspoon |
| Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon |
| Reduced sodium soy sauce | 1/3 Cup |
| Orange juice | 1/3 Cup |
| Honey | ¼ Cup |
| Chopped green onion | 1 |
| Salmon fillets | 1 ½ lbs |
Put a well-mixed mixture of chopped onion, honey, orange juice, soy sauce, garlic powder and ground ginger in a plastic bag. Put salmon in the bag and seal tightly. Turn bag so that the marinade is distributed evenly. You may want to refrigerate for up to 30 minutes if you want the flavor to be strong. After lightly greasing the grill, preheat to medium heat. Remove salmon from the bag and keep the marinade. Grill the salmon to your liking or 15 minutes per inch of thickness. Brush marinade over the salmon while grilling during the last 5 minutes. Your sizzling hot salmon is ready to be served.
